This course will build on the skills learned in Burmese 1.

Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:1. Have a good knowledge of grammar of spoken Burmese and basic vocabulary.
2. Keep up a conversation for a short time on daily life topics such as st shops, schools and hospitals.
3. Read longer passages in Burmese written in the colloquial style.
4. Write longer passages in the colloquial Burmese style on daily topics.
Indicative Assessment

4. Mid term oral test - 15%
5. Final oral test - 30%
6. Final written test - 25%
