This course is intended for students wishing to further the Actuarial knowledge they were introduced to during their undergraduate studies. The course will allow students to select specific topics to fill a knowledge gap.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:

  1. Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the topics outlined in the class summary.
  2. Demonstrate a high-level mastery of concepts associated with the topics studied, as discussed by the course convenor.

Indicative Assessment

  1. Typical assessment may include, but is not restricted to: exams, assignments, quizzes, presentations and other assessment as appropriate. (100) [LO 1,2]

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. Workload

Students are expected to commit 130 hours of work in completing this course. This includes time spent in scheduled classes and self-directed study time.

To enrol in this course, you must be enrolled in the Master of Actuarial Studies, the Master of Actuarial Practice or the Graduate Certificate of Finance and Actuarial Statistics.
