The course involves students designing and researching a topic in applied econometrics or applied economics. There will be one-on-one supervision with experienced researchers in the field of the topic chosen.
Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Define and undertake an independent applied economic or applied econometric research project
- Present a clearly defined research plan, method and findings
- Research proposal (5) [LO 1]
- Oral presentation (20) [LO 1,2]
- Research paper (75) [LO 1,2]

High level performance in EMET8002. Students will be admitted on a case-by-case basis.
