Program Requirements

The Graduate Certification of Systems Engineering requires the completion of 24 units which must include:

6 units from completion of one of the courses from the following list:

ENGN6250 Professional Practice 1

ENGN8260 Professional Practice 2


18 units from completion of the following courses

ENGN8100 Introduction to Systems Engineering

ENGN8120 Systems Modelling

ENGN8535 Engineering Data Analytics

Admission Requirements

This program is only open to Domestic students .

Applicants must present a 4-year Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 4.0/7.0 in a cognate discipline.

All applicants must meet the University’s English Language Admission Requirements for Students

The world and our engineered systems are increasingly interconnected. Systems Engineering is the discipline of how to design, build, test and operate trans-disciplinary engineered systems from the scale of individual products up to large-scale interconnected systems of systems. For interested students, this program provides a pathway to complete a Master of Engineering in either Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.

The Graduate Certificate of Systems Engineering comprises the equivalent of 0.5 years of full-time study. The program is taught online in intensive blended mode. Students are expected to be enrolled part-time and can complete the program in 1 year of part time study.
