This course is designed to provide students with specialist skills used to gather, integrate and interpret information useful to the Environmental Decision Making process. It builds upon the knowledge of environmental and resource management tools covered in EMDV8102 Research Methods for Environmental Management.
 
The skills provided include: cost-benefit analysis, bio-economic modeling, contingent valuation, choice modeling, travel cost method, hedonic pricing, benefit transfer, multi-criteria analysis, threshold value analysis, and risk and uncertainty integration.

Indicative Assessment

Major project (50%), two assignments (5% each), final exam (40%)

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students.
