This course aims to introduce the principles, methods, and applications of Evidence Based Practice (EBP) to any particular branch of the health science professions. The course starts with a two-day on-campus program that is followed by seven web-based modules completed throughout the semester.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:

- Identify the various concepts of Evidence Based Practice
- Identify clinical questions and use Evidence Based Practice principles to answer them
- Examine and evaluate the resources used for Evidence Based Practice
- Critique and analyse evidence using appraisal criteria
- Apply the principles of Evidence Based Practice for guiding practice and service development
Indicative Assessment
Assessment will include essays of 1000 - 1500 words (modules 1,5,7; 40%) critical topic appraisals (750 words; modules 2,3,4: 40%) or critical evaluations (1500 words; module 6; 20%).
The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity.
