Indifference to science is a challenge for science communicators, and it affects more broadly decisions about education, lifestyle and issues of global significance. This course examines the problems commonly encountered by members of the public who hold apathetic views to science. Students in this course are acquainted with the learning problems commonly encountered by those of the public who have not ‘succeeded’ in science, due to poor exposure and early experiences in science.
The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students. Requisite and Incompatibility
You will need to contact the Centre for the Public Awareness of Science to request a permission code to enrol in this course.
