The course will consist of a research project relevant to the student's coursework. It may be conducted in collaboration with an employer or other business or government body or it may be a basic biomedical science or clinical research project. The details of the project will be negotiated between the student, the supervisors and the convener of the course.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:

At the end of this course, students will be able to

a. integrate principles, skills and knowledge from earlier courses in a practical environment;

b. have a broader understanding of problems, issues and considerations in translational medicine

Indicative Assessment

80% thesis; 20% seminar

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. Workload

It is expected that the student will spend at least 60 hours on the research project at times negotiated between student, supervisor and course convenor.
