This course provides customised opportunities to capitalise on the current teaching and research being conducted in the College of Science, including by visiting scholars, by students either  undertaking a supervised research project or attending a series of graduate lectures

On satisfying the requirements of this course, students will have the knowledge and skills to engage with a specific area of chemistry in the context of theoretical and/or laboratory-based research.

Indicative Assessment

Assessment will be customised to the specific student and topic area, and could include, for example, laboratory exercises or reports, research reports, examinations, or seminar presentations.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students. Workload

65 hours of theoretical and/or lab based research and 65 hours of independent learning - if taken as a 6 unit course.
