Students can produce an extended research paper as a complementary studies course or as an Art Theory subject provided that they have demonstrated the requisite writing and research skills and can show that their research topic is relevant to their Workshop concerns. Students on exchange may take this subject in fulfilment of their art theory course where their exchange institution does not offer a satisfactory equivalent.
Students enrolled in this subject will consult with a supervisor from the Art Theory staff on a regular basis. Enrolment in this course is subject to prior approval from the Head of Art Theory.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity.
