This course is one of two compulsory core units in the Master of New Media Arts Degree. It builds on New Media: Innovation & Research 1 to further develop the key concepts of creative practice and research issues. The weekly seminar continues to explore innovation and research of professional practicing new media artists through the students’ own research and the New Media Lecture Series at the NMA. A presentation and an extended research paper will form part of this course.

Indicative Assessment

Research Presentation (40%), 1 x 5000 word Essay (40%), Research e-journal (20%)

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students.
