Australia's Forests introduces students to the values and issues associated with Australia's native, plantation, farm and urban forests, linked to relevant policy and management regimes. The course comprises field trips, including 5 nights away from Canberra, and classroom workshop components, delivered 7-19 July 2014.
A quota applies to admission to this course due to limited field accommodation, so early enrolment is encouraged.
Note: Graduate students attend joint classes with undergraduates but are assessed separately.

- Identify and analyse, in depth, the ecosystem services Australians gain from a diversity of forests you will encounter in the field;
- Assess, in depth, how diverse perspectives and social values have shaped and continue to influence forest policy and management;
- Refine and convincingly communicate your own views on forest management and policy.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity.
