This course introduces students to soft scultpure through pattern making and armature and utalising processes including sewing, knitting, crochet, simple construction and skinning with the aim to respond sculpturally to ideas that transform and subvert the natural character of objects through space, scale, function, meaning and materiality. Students will keep visual and technical diaries and studio theory aims to develop critical and evaluative skills to interpret and understand artworks within a contemporary and context. Occupational health and safety instruction is an integral part of the course.
