This course is suitable for Master-level students wishing to write a sub-thesis in the areas of management, marketing or international business. Students in the course discuss their research interests in the areas of management, marketing or international business with a potential supervisor, who assists them in identifying a suitable research topic equivalent to 18 units of coursework. Students complete a sub-thesis on the agreed topic of 15,000 to 20,000 words.

Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:

Indicative Assessment

Assessment will be in line with the two other research project courses in the Research School of  Management, MMIB8003 Special Research Topic 1 (6 units) and MMIB8004 Special Research Topic 2 (12 units). The sub-thesis will be examined in the Research School of Management.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students.
