Within this course graduate students will be provided with opportunities to develop advanced professional skills in music performance, of a level appropriate for a professional public recital. Each Graduate Performance course will require students to demonstrate an increasing proficiency in both solo and ensemble music performance. Styles covered can include classical, jazz, contemporary and folk/world music. Learning and teaching activities will include lectures, small group teaching and ensemble work. Students will be able to access one-to-one tuition, master classes or conferences with School of Music Staff or through a Performance Development Allowance.

1. demonstrate a high level of accomplishment and command of instrumental/vocal technique and attention to a professional level of performance accuracy.

3. communicate the music to an audience with an emphasis on the artistic outcome, especially expression of an original voice including the establishment of an individual style.
4. propose a research question and explore the question leading to a performance outcome of a high standard, and explain this process and outcome both orally and in writing.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. Workload
5.5 contact hours per week:
- 90 minute PDA activity: instrumental / vocal instruction or other approved activity
- Two hour performance ensemble
- Two hour performance forum
14.5 hours of private study per week.
