Command and Leadership (STST8117)

This course aims to develop the student's understanding of the personal requirements needed for the leadership of complex and diverse organisations, such as the modern military, at the operational and strategic levels. The module will examine personal leadership development options that may be required for students to achieve their leadership ambitions. It is expected that some students are likely to become effective Commanding Officers, or equivalent within the Australian Defence Force. Other students may seek to make a difference within their own government, NGO, commercial or not-for-profit organisations at a comparable level. Some students are likely to seek an even more high profile operational or strategic leadership role.

This course is only open to students posted to the Australian Command & Staff College.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students. For additional information regarding Turnitin please visit the ANU Online website.
