The ANU Master of Financial Management will equip you to excel in a
business career anywhere in the world. You will gain access to leading
academics with extensive industry and research experience. Courses
within the Master of Financial Management have been developed in
consultation with key industry partners in the finance sector, assuring
you that the advanced skillset you will develop in the program will
prepare you for a rewarding career in business.
Single degree
The Master of Financial Management requires the completion of 48 units, which must consist of:
48 units from completion of the following compulsory courses:
BUSN7008 Financial Statements and Reporting
FINM7006 Foundations of Finance
FINM7007 Applied Corporate Finance
FINM7008 Applied Investments
FINM7044 Applied Valuation
FINM8016 Portfolio Construction
FINM8007 Topics in International Finance
STAT7055 Introductory Statistics for Business and Finance
Enrolment Status
This program can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis,
depending on course scheduling. International students on a student visa
must always be enrolled in 24 units (four courses) in each semester.
Students are able to change their enrolment until the end of week 2 of each semester.
Academic Advice
Students entering the program who receive an
exemption from FINM7006 Foundations of Finance should replace this
course with FINM7041 Applied Derivatives. Students entering the program
who receive an exemption for either STAT7055 Introductory Statistics for
Business and Finance or BUSN7008 Financial Statements and Reporting
should replace the course with ECON8069 Business Economics.
Please note: Students commencing the Master of Financial
Management in Semester 2, 2015 will receive a permission code for FINM7007 to
allow parallel enrolment with FINM7006 and BUSN7008.
