New Perspectives on Landscape in Asia, Australia and the Pacific (ASIA8010)

This course investigates concepts of cultural and natural landscapes of the past and present in Australia, SE Asia and the Pacific. All landscapes are shaped by the actions of people. There is, however, a duality between traditionalist post colonialist models, compartmentalizing natural and cultural domains, and new approaches from Asia, Australia and the Pacific promoting a more holistic approach to landscapes, one that examines the complex interactions and meanings attached to landscape forms.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students. For additional information regarding Turnitin please visit the ANU Online website.
