This study tour course will provide students with an introduction to contemporary social, political and economic transformations in Myanmar. Students will participate in preparatory seminars at ANU. Two weeks will be spent in Myanmar with the academic convener. Lectures and workshops will be held at the University of Yangon, Myanmar's premier university. Guided site visits will incorporate locations of social, historical and political importance and will provide essential context for the issues considered in the course. This ground-breaking new course will send the first group of undergraduate ANU students to Myanmar in 2015, and is being offered as part of the Australian Government's AsiaBound grants initiative.

Other Information
Please note that this is an in country study tour course, and there will only run if there a minimum number of students apply and are successful. Enrolment in this course will be through the terradotta studio abroad site (https://anu-au-sa.terradotta.com/) as a Short Program. Students are required to register on the system in order to apply for the course. There are a number of scholarships and grants available for student who undertake this course in order to assist them to go.
