WEB-Design-Create 1 is an elective that introduces students to basic skills, techniques and processes of professional web based representation. A series of basic exercises will lead students to plan for representing and promoting their professional practice on the Internet. Students will be introduced to Web2 technologies to maximize networking and promotional opportunities relevant to their practice. Conceptual and thematic issues are addressed. Occupational health and safety instruction is an integral part of this course.

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of basic techniques and processes used in online promotion and networking
  2. Show the beginning of a creative exploration of the Web2 technologies and services and its application relevant to the students professional practice
  3. Show basic awareness of historical and theoretical contexts relevant to the course

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. Workload

4 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice and other research.
