This course assesses the impact of International Law upon Australian Government in the second century since Federation. Attention will be given to the impact of International Law upon all levels of government, including Federal, State, Territorial and Local Government. The framework for analysis is to provide a critical review of how international law impacts upon a range of Australian institutions across all levels of Australian society, with specific consideration being given to:
- The Executive
- The Legislature: Commonwealth, State and Territorial
- The Judiciary: High Court, Federal Court, Family Court, State and Territorial Supreme Courts
- The Bureaucracy: Federal, State and Territorial Departments

- have an appreciation of the legal impact of these developments upon Australian institutions
