Classical Studies Honours Specialisation

The Classical Studies Honours Specialisation gives you high-level preparation for professional life or a higher degree by research through the development of an advanced knowledge of the research principles and methods and theoretical concepts of classical studies, and through the design and implementation of a research project, typically a thesis of up to 20,000 words, that develops new understandings or that provides solutions to complex problems.

Admission Requirements

Either:

a major or equivalent in Ancient Greek with 6 units of 2000- or 3000-level courses in Ancient History

written approval of an identified supervisor for the thesis 

Or:

a major or equivalent in Ancient History with 12 units of courses in Ancient Greek or Latin

written approval of an identified supervisor for the thesis 

Or:

a major or equivalent in Latin with 6 units of 2000- or 3000-level courses in Ancient History

written approval of an identified supervisor for the thesis
