This course is designed to provide students with an extension of curriculum that will extend their learning into areas of Conservation Biology that are reflective of current studies in this science that are not covered in the standard  Biology or Environmental Science majors in the year 11 and 12 ACT curriculum or the NSW Biology Stage 6 syllabus . This course  will extends the knowledge and understanding of the multidisciplinary science of Conservation Biology. International students are not able to enrol in this course.

Topics in year 11 include:
Conservation and Biodiversity
Biodiversity
Extinction
Threats to Biodiversity

Topics in year 12 will include:
Scientific method in conservation biology
Conservation at the species level
Conservation at the ecosystem level
Policy, politics and conservation
 

This is Part B of a 2 part course.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity.
