This course aims to provide students of Japanese linguistics with an opportunity to cap their studies with a focussed, research intensive course. As an “issues” course the topics covered in this course will depend on the interests of the students and the convenor but may include historical, comparative and variationist linguistics as they pertain to Japanese; issues in the second language acquisition of Japanese; Japanese syntax; and Japanese morphology.
The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students.
