This course introduces the concept of total risk management, subject matter of which is partly art and partly science. The objective of the course is to develop skills in the identification, measurement, and management of issues contributing to business risk. The emphasis is on the risk analysis of international business, including analysing country and political risks and diagnosing financial shocks. But the course also covers risk issues of relevance to domestic business and explains why even domestic business is subject to international exposures. With simple and yet comprehensive real life case studies, the participants will appreciate the skills, data, knowledge and methodology required to identify and manage the multiple and dynamic risk exposures that arise in modern business management.
