Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:

On the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate a solid understanding of the linguistic nature of Japanese grammar and vocabulary;
2. Demonstrate an enriched grammatical knowledge and vocabulary for communicating in various situations at an intermediate level of Japanese;
3. Discuss basic issues of Japanese grammar and lexicon;
4. Analyse Japanese grammar and lexicon.

Indicative Assessment

Weekly quizzes (in class): 40% (Related learning outcomes: 1, 2, 4)
Mid-term test: 30% (Related learning outcomes: 1, 2, 3)
Final exam: 30% (Related learning outcomes: 1, 2, 3)

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity.
