This course aims to enable the student to develop a good understanding of the issues associated with methodologies used when developing computer-based information systems. The main purpose is to integrate technical, social and economic views of information systems development, which will aid the student in understanding the role of methodologies in the successful implementation of information systems. The textbook and lecture notes (if applicable) provide a comprehensive framework for students to assess information systems methodologies independent of any particular methodology or supplier.

Workload
Students taking this course are expected to commit at least 10 hours a week to completling the work. This will include 3 hours per week in class and at least 7 hours a week on average (including non-teaching weeks) on course reading, research, writing and assignment work.
