Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:
Students successfully completing Written Japanese D will have mastered a large body of commonly used vocabulary, kanji and expressions. They will have developed strong reading strategies to help cope with unfamiliar texts, be able to read easy real-world materials with a dictionary and will have mastered the basic elements of Japanese composition. Students successfully completing this course should be at or around the equivalent of Levels 2 or 3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency test.
Indicative Assessment
In-class tests (8): 25%; Take-home writing tests (3): 25%; Tutorial assignments: 10%; Final Exam: 40%
The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity.
