Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:

1. Develop an understanding of patterns and regional variation in the human past as revealed by the archaeological evidence.
2. Become familiar with and understand the nature of prehistoric and historic life and cultural transformations.
3. Develop a critical appreciation of the archaeological evidence for the reconstruction of cultural systems and cultural change in specific regions.
4. Understand the long-term cultural changes in different parts of the world.
5. Develop a solid knowledge-base concerning human physical and cultural evolution.
