The Master of Management (Advanced) requires the completion of 96 units, which must consist of:

Management Core Specialisation

Management Essentials Specialisation

Human Resource Management

24 units from completion of the following research component:

24 units from completion of MMIB8006 Master Sub-Thesis (Business Studies)

Students must achieve a minimum 70% weighted average mark in the coursework component and have the approval of an identified supervisor for the research project to continue to the research component.

Students who do not achieve a minimum 70% weighted average mark in the coursework component or do not have the approval of an identified supervisor will be transferred to the Master of Management.

This program has been re-designed to place a stronger emphasis on research. Students are introduced to the importance of research and provided specific research-skill development within the first course of the program—MGMT7250 (Evidence-Based Management). The methods, tools and frameworks comprising the evidence-based management approach are then systematically embedded within all the courses that follow. We conservatively estimate that at least a quarter of all course content, and all assessment in the courses within the program will be research-based. This would equate to around 24 units of specific research training, and completion of a 24 unit thesis.
