This course is built around an individually or collaboratively negotiated, semester-long, small-scale, focused creative research project which will develop and demonstrate professional level conceptual and technical skills relevant to creative digital industries. This course will give students real-world, practical experience in industry-oriented methods and production environments. Students may choose to explore processes including: animation, digital effects, 3D visualisation, game development, interaction, motion graphics, performance, sound design, video production, VR. This course is based on the industry-informed practice-led pedagogy employed by the School of Art and Design.
The project proposal will be negotiated between the student and a proposed supervisor. Students must gain the formal agreement of a staff member to supervise them before enrolling in this course.

Students may enrol in this course more than once. This course may be taken up to 6 times for a maximum of 36 units of credit, and if repeated must be repeated with a different topic each time.Indicative Assessment

Workload
A total of 130 hours of project work, lectures, seminars, critiques, readings and research, including a minimum of 12 hours of direct contact with the supervisor over 12 weeks. It is the joint responsibility of the student and supervisor to arrange times for face-to-face contact. The supervisor is normally only available for email or face-to-face consultation during teaching weeks of each semester.Requisite and Incompatibility
