This course presents students with the opportunity to define and explore an individual studio project, emphasising a creative synthesis of concept and process. Material exploration, critical thinking and creative problem solving are encouraged. Drawing is approached both as research for the painting process and as an independent expressive form. Studio theory contextualizes these painting projects within the broader arts context. Workplace health and safety instruction is an integral part of this course.
