This course is designed to accommodate both students and lecturers with a particular interest in special non-core issues governing organisations in a global context.  The particular content of this course will be determined with the lecturer at the time of teaching.

The purpose of this course is twofold:

  • to provide an understanding of the management consulting industry, the nature of management consulting and the process of consulting; and
  • to provide some insight for managers on how the management consulting industry works and how to get the best out of management consultants.

Workload

Students taking this course are expected to commit at least 10 hours per week to completing the work. This will include 3 hours per week in class and at least 7 hours a week on average (including non-teaching weeks) on course reading, research, writing and assignment work.

Requisite and Incompatibility
