Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:- demonstrate a critical appreciation of major gender issues in development;
- link the concepts and approaches used by feminist scholars and practitioners to gender and development theory;
- identify the gaps and use the skills in formulating development projects from a gender perspective through familiarity with gender concerns;
- describe and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data from a gender perspective, such as the appraisal of a development project or policy in terms of its likely gender impacts; and
- reflect critically on their own experiences of gender and development in light of the concepts and methods introduced.
