Focusing on the Pacific region, the conflict and development specialisation is taught by active development practitioners and the University’s world-leading academics in anthropology and peace and conflict studies.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:
  1. understand the role that conflict can play in national and local development processes in the Pacific;
  2. identify practical approaches to dealing with conflict; and
  3. apply critical social inquiry and participatory processes to the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development activities.
