Do you have broad interests you just can't pin down? Are you curious about things from parasites to planets and everything in between? With the ANU Diploma of Science tailored program you can explore all your interests in a high-support, high-challenge environment.

The ANU Diploma of Science is an exciting new pathway into the Bachelor of Science. You will develop the study skills, increasing critical thinking skills and communicative capacity in an academic environment to support success at Bachelor level. Your transcript and testamur will be issued by the Australian National University.

Students who successfully complete the Diploma of Science, with no more than one fail and a GPA of 5 or above, will be able to progress into the second year of a Bachelor of Science Degree with 48 units of credit.

Students aspiring to study at ANU, and those the University seeks to reach, sometimes do not meet the minimum entry requirements for their target course. This may be due to restricted educational opportunity, geographic location, cultural or socio-economic expectations or restrictions, lack of choice, or personal factors such as individual or family circumstances that affect success. Other students may be very close to ANU entry requirements, but miss out on entry by a small margin. These students will benefit from a high support entry pathway to ANU.

The aim of the Diploma of Science is to provide an opportunity for high quality and aspiring students to access ANU and to succeed in degree programs on completion of the Diploma. If you aspire to join the Bachelor of Science but do not meet the ANU admission requirements, this program may provide you with an alternative pathway to your future at the ANU.

Career Options

Graduates from ANU have been rated as Australia's most employable graduates and among the most sought after by employers worldwide.
