ANU Extension Indonesian Politics and Culture B (EXTN1010B)

Indonesian has strong strategic importance for Australia and priority status in Australian education systems, yet the study of Indonesian language is in crisis. This H Course is intended to build the number of senior secondary students studying Indonesian language and culture, and to improve the quality and depth of students’ learning by providing a tertiary-level pathway between school-based education and tertiary studies. This course takes a creative and innovative approach to language teaching, content, and curriculum, drawing on the approach of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL - see course bibliography) to engage students creatively through performance-based activities, guided research into student-directed projects, and high-order content delivered in a university setting. The course will consist of two units: Youth Media and Performance, and Political Performance. International students are not able to enrol in this course.

This is Part B of a 2 part course.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students. For additional information regarding Turnitin please visit the ANU Online website.
