This course is connected to the Yuill Scholarship to support students to take part in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) Traineeship Program.

The primary duties of the trainee will be to assist Members of the Court in their tasts, including carrying out research, preparing case files, and drafting various types of documents.

Indicative Assessment

  1. 6,000 - 8,000 word report based on the internship marked by a member of the staff of the ANU College of Law. (null) [LO null]

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students. Requisite and Incompatibility

To enrol in this course you must be studying a: Master of Laws (MLLM), Master of International Law and Diplomacy (MINLD), Master of Legal Practice (MLEGP); And have completed LAWS8182 Principles of International Law, and have completed or be completing at least two other masters level courses in international law; OR Juris Doctor (MJD), have completed or be completing five 1000 or 6100 level LAWS courses and have completed LAWS2250/LAWS6250 International Law, and have completed or be completing at least two other masters level courses in international law.

You will need to contact the ANU Law School to request a permission code to enrol in this course.
