Ethnicity and Conflict in Asia and the Pacific (POLS4020)

This course looks at the nature of ethnic identity, the ways in which ethnically-based conflicts have emerged within states, the internationalization of ethnic conflict, and the search for means of managing ethnic tensions and resolving conflicts when management strategies fail. It will draw on case studies from Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India, and the Pacific.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students. For additional information regarding Turnitin please visit the ANU Online website.
