Human-Centred and Creative Computing Major

The Human-Centred and Creative Computing major offers an interdisciplinary grounding in human-computer interaction, humanities-centred computing, and creative computing, including games, music, or graphics. This major is where computing meets a complex world with unique and varied social contexts to create impacts that change and enrich our lives. Students will gain insight and skills in designing, developing, and evaluating human-centred and creative applications, particularly applied to new and emerging technologies. 

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify and describe contemporary issues and challenges in human-centred and creative computing
  2. Synthesise knowledge of human-centred and creative computing systems and their social context to address problems
  3. Design and develop human-centred and creative technologies
  4. Apply theoretical frameworks and research techniques to evaluate and critique human-centred and creative computing systems

Requirements

This major requires the completion of 48 units, which must include:


A minimum of 18 units of 3000-level courses.

A Maximum of 12 units can be counted towards another CECC Major. 

A maximum of 6 units can be counted towards another CECC Minor or Specialisation.
