Sustainability and Accounting Specialisation

Students undertaking the Master of Accounting degree will be able to choose a specialisation in Sustainability and Accounting. With increasing attention centred on sustainability issues, there is growing demand for information on the sustainability aspects of organisational performance to complement traditional financial reporting. 

Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of current issues and developments in accounting and reporting for sustainability and corporate governance

  2. Critically analyse broader issues of corporate sustainability, governance and reporting

  3. Apply relevant theoretical concepts in the context of corporate sustainability accounting and reporting 

  4. Formulate logical arguments to reach well-considered conclusions

BUSN7005 Contemporary Issues in Accounting 

BUSN7017 Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, Accountability and Reporting 

BUSN8045 Corporate Governance 

BUSN8068 Accounting for Sustainability
