Technology is transforming our society and global relationships. Industry and government need a new breed of lawyers who understand the legal, commercial and policy implications for the design and implementation of new products and new business models.
This specialisation will equip lawyers and other professionals with skills and scholarship needed to face novel challenges and to develop innovative and practical approaches to solving problems thrown up by new technologies.
Learning Outcomes
- Develop and apply specialist legal knowledge to critically analyse complex new technologies law problems, concepts and theories, incorporating social, comparative or transdisciplinary approaches. (PLO 1,4)
- Research, evaluate, and synthesise case law, legislation, and scholarly writings to develop solutions to new technologies law problems. (PLO 2,3,5)
- Critically reflect on and communicate theoretical, policy and practical information and issues in new technologies law to legal and non-legal audiences. (PLO 6,7)
