This course provides leaders with skills in strategic communication and influence, including risk communication to build effective and trust-based relationships with different stakeholders.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Describe the key factors, practices and processes associated with influencing and building networks within a public sector ecosystem framework
- Describe the key evidence-based skills leaders need to communicate and influence responsibly
- Describe the factors that are important to establishing high quality and trust-based connections, both in-person and virtually
- Develop plans to build one's networks
- Develop communication plans to address challenges to innovation, implementation, and organisational change efforts
- Develop plans for crisis management.

Workload
Where this course is offered in intensive delivery mode as a continuous block over a shorter period of time, the expected total time commitment for this course will be at least 65 hours for course reading, classes, research, writing and assessment work.
