Upon successful completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to:

Placements

All students engage with WIL partners (internal/external) as a major component of the course.

Other Information

To enhance learning and to access a wider array of perspectives, and to complete the Career Development Reflection, students are required to attend at least 10 hours of career development activities some of which will be outside of the course such as public lectures, conference presentations, etc. Students will be asked to formulate their own schedule of events in line with their availability, topic interests and location. These events can be offered in person, online, or a combination of both.

The ANU uses Turnitin to enhance student citation and referencing techniques, and to assess assignment submissions as a component of the University's approach to managing Academic Integrity. While the use of Turnitin is not mandatory, the ANU highly recommends Turnitin is used by both teaching staff and students. Workload

130 hours (6 units) or 260 hours (12 units) over the relevant semester or session, in consultation with your Host Organisation Supervisor and ANU Supervisor, made up of approximately:

• 90 hours (6 units), 180 hours (12 units) of placement at the Host Organisation.
• 30 hours (6 units), 70 hours (12 units) of independent study (which includes the regular meetings with supervisors and the induction).
• 10 hours (6 & 12 units) of career development activities.

Students should organise regular meetings with the Host Supervisor and ANU Supervisor throughout the project.

Prescribed Texts

Where appropriate, students will be assigned additional readings by their ANU or Host Supervisors depending on their project and background knowledge.
