Program Requirements
The Master of Studies requires the completion of 72 units, of which must come from 6000-level, 7000-level and 8000-level courses
The 72 units must consist of:
A maximum of 24 units from courses from the graduate classification: Transitional
A minimum of 36 units from completion of courses from the following graduate classifications:
Advanced
Specialist
A minimum of 12 units from courses from the graduate classification: Research
Admission Requirements
The Master of Studies is an exit award only.
To use the Master of Studies as an exit a student must:
have completed 72 units of 6000-level, 7000-level, and 8000-level courses towards an ANU Master or Master Advanced program, of which
a maximum of 24 units must be from courses from the graduate classification: Transitional,
a minimum of 36 units must be from completion of courses from the following graduate classifications:
- Advanced
- Specialist, and
a minimum of 12 units must be from courses from the graduate classification: Research;
and must successfully apply to transfer those 72 units into the Master of Studies.

Fee Information
All students are required to pay the Services and amenities fee (SA Fee)
The annual indicative fee provides an estimate of the program tuition fees for international students and domestic students (where applicable). The annual indicative fee for a program is based on the standard full-time enrolment load of 48 units per year (unless the program duration is less than 48 units). Fees for courses vary by discipline meaning that the fees for a program can vary depending on the courses selected. Course fees are reviewed on an annual basis and typically will increase from year to year. The tuition fees payable are dependent on the year of commencement and the courses selected and are subject to increase during the period of study.

Scholarships

The Master of Studies is an exit qualification only. It provides a flexible option for ANU students who require an early or different exit point from a single or Double Masters Degree or Master (Advanced) degree.
