The Diplomacy Specialisation enables students to deepen and extend their appreciation of diplomacy as both a field of study and a realm of practice.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Appreciate some of the key conceptual debates that characterise the field of diplomatic studies
  2. Understand the variety of forms that contemporary diplomacy can take
  3. Relate the practice of diplomacy to broader debates in International Relations and Political Science

This specialisation is not available to students who are enrolled in either the Master of Diplomacy or the Master of International Law and Diplomacy.

Requirements

This specialisation requires the completion of 24 units, of which:

A minimum of 12 units must come from completion of 8000-level courses

24 units must come from completion of courses from the following diplomatic studies list:
