Employment OpportunitiesCareer options following the Master of Philosophy include many opportunities in addition to an academic path. Some of our alumni, who have prior medical qualifications, combine clinical research with their work as a medical practitioner, or proceed to specialist medical training. Others find employment in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries, or alternatively develop careers in government organisations in areas such as health policy and administration, patent examination and therapeutic goods administration.
To be admitted to the Master of Philosophy program you will be required to have completed at least a three-year Australian degree or equivalent with a result of at least 70%.

The Master of Philosophy requires the submission and successful examination of a thesis of up to 60,000 words.
Study consists of one to two years of full-time study or part-time equivalent.
