Students build on the language skills and understandings they have developed in AUST6008 to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in an Indigenous Australian language, to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of the relation between language, culture and society in the community of the speakers and to reflect on the place of Indigenous Australian languages in Australia.
This course may be offered on campus or on-country (location(s) to be advised for each offering), and delivered over the course of a semester or in intensive mode. This course is available for cross-Institutional enrolment.

5. Discuss socio-cultural, traditional and modern practices specific to the Indigenous Australian community speaking the language concerned.
