This course explores approaches to painting via processes of drawing, collage, photography and digital imaging, and emphasises the role of colour in composition. A series of exercises and projects students will learn the basic terminology and principles of painting eg: the dynamics of composition, the relations between picture plane and picture space, between colour and tone, illusion and materiality etc. Suitable for beginners and Painting majors.
