Intensive study of one or more topics in linguistics, through a combination of lectures, prescribed readings, and written analysis. The topics may be studied in conjunction with the Australian Linguistic Institute organised by the Australian Linguistic Society.

Indicative Assessment
At least two pieces of written work totaling 6000 words [Learning Outcomes 1-3].

Workload
Taught by arrangement to a specific student by a specific staff member, subject to consent by convenor and the staff member.
Students are expected to commit up to 10 hours per week on this course, to a total of 120 hours.
